Also some Isle of Jura, which is more for sentimental reasons (though an excellent whisky in its own right) as we used to be able to see the distillery from our home.

I used to LOVE whisky, 'till I nearly killed myself on a bottle of Glenfiddich. It's wierd, I can't even stomach the smell now without it giving me the baulk.
More of a bourbon man, these days

. Still, being cautioned about common sense from a rugby player and fellow martial artist is about as useful as being cautioned about the evils of drink from the local wino. Course, the wittiness of your posts are a wonderful example of the dangers of trying to pick up the ball by your teeth during the scrum and of breaking falls in the Dojo by landing on your head
.

Of course if the local wino were a rugby player he would caution you about the evils of drinking so that there would be more for him......
As for picking up the ball with my teeth I really have no other option after my juggling days....
BTW which MA did you study?

Yeah, I know. I had a few friends on the rugby team where I went to grad school

Chinese martial arts. The base style was Tien Shen Pai, a northern based style, but there was substantial influence from Swai Jow (quick throws) and Chin Na (locks and grappling). My instructor was also learning elements of the N. shaolin system and one of the mantis styles through friends of our Grand Master.

Cool I don`t know too much about CMA but my wifes cousin is studying "Wu Shu"(sic?) at Beijing university....
Is the northern/southern differentiation the same as hard/soft, external/internal or is it something else?
The fella she (wifes cousin) originally studied with is just down the road from where I work, he teaches mantis and "Bagua"(sic?), must admit I`m tempted but theres also a Brazillian Jiu Jutsu place just down the road, decisions decisions.....

I haven't done as much martial arts as you two probably have, though I've had 3 years of Tae-Kwan-Do, a bit less of an aggressive form of martial arts. About 3 more weeks, I would have tested for my Black belt, but unfortunate to me, I had to move.

I recognize that this forum died a quick and disastrous death but I cannot fathom how Joz could leave out the Jet, the one person that EVERYONE just loves to hate. Either I was having an off month or perhaps I am slipping in my methodological musings.
