You have to kick the donkey out of your farm!!!
A simple farmer works in his field all the day ,then he go home to prepare him self to the next day.
One day,he went his field -as usual-, but he was surprised that there was a DONKEY eating his crops; he asked it to leave his farm , BUT THE DONKEY KEPT EATING, he explain to him that he spent a lot of time and efforts to grow it up, and it(THE DONKEY) does not have the right to eat it .BUT THE DONKEY KEPT EATING.
The farmer divided the farm into two parts and put a line between him and the DONKEY , and warned him from exceeding it.
Next day, the farmer found the DONKEY eating in his part he shouted at it,and asked it TO RETURN TO ITS PART(not to leave the farm as before).BUT THE DONKEY KEPT EATING.
The farmer asked his neibhours to help him in his tragedy.so they came ,asked the donkey to return to its part.BUT THE DONKEY KEPT EATING. they protested , shouted blamed the donkey.BUT THE DONKEY KEPT EATING.
Finally , a small kid saw what was happening, so he came and kicked the donkey with his leg. SURPRISINGLY,THE DONKEY run out of the farm.
This is our story -here in palestine- with Israel , BUT WE STILL NEED THE KID WHO WILL KICK IT OUT.

Re: You have to kick the donkey out of your farm!!!
So you are saying that the isrealis should kill all the arabs (the donkey) - that's a bit harsh is it not?

From what I read, it appeared he wasn't saying kill (just remove), and it was the other way around (Israel was the donkey).
I think it would have been more appropriate if the story analogized both sides to jackasses.

They've been trying that for the last fifty years. It hasn't worked. Don't you think it's time for a more intelligent solution?

No I say that some one like HAMAS or BINLADEN have to kick Israeli out
You probably have not seen my posts on EvC, but I am pretty outspoken in support of Palestinians and against the state of Israel (though I have nothing against Israelis themselves).
That said, your position is not very well thought out. You cannot live your life according to analogies, especially ones that don't take into account that we are talking about mass numbers of people.
HAMAS is not on the side of the Palestinians. It is on the side of rhetoric, just like Bush and Sharon. It is extremism. It is not a child trying to kick a donkey to get it to move, it is a cruel child willing to kick a horse to death and then keep kicking. Revenge will not bring peace and prosperity.
Bin Laden is also not on the side of the Palestinians. He is the equal of Sharon and Bush in being tied to extremist rhetoric as policy. US or THEM is his rallying cry. Are you seriously telling me that Palestinians want to live as those who were living under the rule of the Taliban? Somehow I doubt this very much. Even most Afghans didn't like it.
I understand that when the chips are down it seems like revenge is all one has, and at least one can get a "sting" in before being crushed. But think of what that analogy really means. You aren't a kid moving an obstacle, your method is to become a pest on an ass.
If the real goal is peace and prosperity for the Palestinian people, and perhaps some longterm justice, then one has to think how to ATTAIN those goals. Most of what I am seeing is people bent on kicking a donkey.
Keep in mind, one donkey will ruin a farm only if you pay so much attention to that donkey you don't take care of the rest of your farm.
Find people that will tend the farm and build it up. Then you can laugh at the donkey as it won't matter one bit.
P.S.-- The Palestinian Authority distinguished itself post 9-11 by quickly and overwhelmingly denouncing the attacks, Al-Queda, and BinLaden. I am uncertain how you come to view him or his organization as something less than "rude" and supportive of peace and prosperity. Check out his history, he has only wrought devastation and poverty.

Re: You have to kick the donkey out of your farm!!!
Isn't the story more like this:
There was huge field with donkeys and monkeys living together side by side. There were more monkeys than donkeys. Both were complaining about eachothers eating habbits but generally they got along.
Outside this field a terrible tragedy happened and donkeys fled other fields and went to the huge field. The king of the jungle told the donkeys they could have a large portion out of it, although he did not live in the huge field and probably wasn't very interested what happened with the huge field.
The donkeys thought ''We can claim this huge field, because we lived here before the monkeys did''. The monkeys didn't agree of course and their allies outside the field attacked the huge field 3 times, probably to get some parts of the huge fields. The donkeys kicked them out and took some of their fields.
Now, the donkeys and monkeys are killing eachother and no one knows what to do to solve it. The new king of the jungle is on the side of the donkeys and the monkeys allies no longer dare to intervene because the king of the jungle threatens them.
A deadlock has arrived and the beautifull status quo of long ago is forever lost on the huge field.

Re: You have to kick the donkey out of your farm!!!
Because of political pressure from the west; not because of the actions of palestinian extremists. For as long as palestine persues a policy of violence it is shooting itself in the foot.
Israel is guilty of getting plenty wrong in Palestine, and my own country must take part of the blame for creating the whole mess in the first place but none of this excuses a policy of mindless violence.
(And as holmes said above).

HAMAS is not on the side of the Palestinians who work for Israel. it is on the side of the Palestinians who have some dignity.
Bin Laden is also not on the side of the Palestinians. He is the equal of Sharon and Bush-he will be like that if he let them doing that devil's works-.
Peace is the Goal of palestinians, but if peace making requires hundred of victims every day , DIGNITY will be the main goal.
you are there at your home ,sleeping in your bed .nothing is threatening your safty. no one will damage your house while you are in. you are drinking clean water , no one pollute it and drop it to you. you did not see your parents being killed in front of your eyes. you have not been out of your house-if not been killed- in the cold and hunger to die out of doors.Have you?
I am sure not .all what you do is watching television-what you want to see- then you moves from one channel to another looking for something more fun.
You do not know about binladen or hamas except what your country wants you to know .so you do not have the right to judje from your place . come and see ,then say.

Yes, defending yourself is a terribly wasteful policy.

There is no policy of mind LESS violence; there is indeed a policy of national liberation and resistance to occupation in the best tradition of human freedom.
And it's shameful that self-described pro-Palestinian liberals are so afraid of getting their hands dirty that they can't even stand the sight of others dirty hands. And its especially hypocritical given the recent invasion of Iraq.
Much western "pacifism" is merely the denial of responsibility.

Because you cannot have peace without justice. As long as injustices are perpetrated, they will be resisted.
