Re: absodamnlutely
You have failed to refute the logic. Christianity is following Christ and his teachings. I still suspect your an atheist spy at this forum. Atleast show me how my logic is wrong, instead of asserting such false things.
Are you saying, that Christ is the force, and his teachings, and they are evil?

Because Christianity is also the name of a widespread organized religion, and you know that already, and you're just being a punk.

"He supposed that the intent of the Gospels was to teach people, among other things, to be merciful, even to the lowest of the low. But the Gospels actually taught this: Before you kill somebody, make absolutely sure he isn't well connected."

Re: absodamnlutely
True. But so what? Nobody made any accusations at Mike. Only at Christianity.
Well, I called him a punk. But apart from that, nothin'.

If people desire something, then its complement must exist.
I want a giant robot Gundam. Since you're so sure they exist, can you get me the hook-up? Thanks.

Re: absodamnlutely
Failed to refute the logic????????????????
Now that is funny.
Who but a Christian could look at the Grand Canyon and say that the world is 6000 years old?
Who but a Christian could look at the stumps of mountains that run up the east coast of the US and say they are less than 6000 years old?
Who but a Christian could look at the fossil record and say that the world is 6000 years old?
Look at Mendel? Was it some force other than Christianity that forced him to stop his experiments and kept them locked away for decades?
Who but the Christian Church upheld the Ptolemeic World view long, long after it was disproven?
No Mike, wiz or no, you cannot in any way, with any honesty, say that Christianity is not today and has not been in the past, one of the biggest obstacles to understanding out there; that Christianity, as it has done so often in the past, does not work hard to keep its members ignorant.

Re: absodamnlutely
Erm. Yes, and now you dig your logical grave. You are talking about young earth creationists.
By YOUR logic, all christians are ignorant/evil/YEC's. You have to realize, that I am not a YEC.
Let's look at your statement then, in this form.
YEC = christian
Does B then = A?
Must I be a YEC to be a christian?
No Mike, wiz or no, you cannot in any way, with any honesty, say that Christianity is not today and has not been in the past, one of the biggest obstacles to understanding out there
Oh yeah right. That must be why I have come to love atheists and science, - because Christ said love your enemy and neighbour, and judge not. Boy what a bummer, that will leave me ignorant. Hmmmmm. Take 2. "Love fulfills the law". Take 3. "Ken Ham says the earth is young, heed that man at all costs". BZZZZZZZZT. wrong quote. Back to topic.....

Not at all. I happen to be a Christian and also understand Evolution.
If you have been able to move beyond the restrictions and limitations then fine, it can be done. Now your moral duty is to help those who are still being kept in Ignorance by Christianity to gain knowledge and wisdom.

Rerun the absolulte value
I think the question then is, if by mere invention we will remain ignorant of nature by NOT tracing the tail end of the RATE of decreasing mass of GODS comet or if we can learn to cooperate so that interactively we succeed in tracing the invetions of all of us without putting up economic returns for superadded fecundity?

Re: absodamnlutely
Thanks. I guess I do call myself christian. But I am a believer in Christ, and try to do has he said do. If that's a christian, then I hope I can call myself that.
As for a punk. I think in Dan Carrol language, that means, he thinks I'm trying to wind people up. In this case, I am a little confused as to why he said it.

Re: absodamnlutely
Though you are still trying to play the "true Christian" game, and in a couple threads you are ignoring the difference between following Christ and the mega-religion Christianity. You don't like it when Jar says something against Christianitytm when you yourself, in the past, have stated that you don't feel a part of the organized religion, but feel you are a simple follower of Christ. Don't be so defensive about an organization that doesn't necessarily follow what you believe anyway. It isn't Christ, or his followers .... the problem is with the organized mega-religion.
and you ARE a punk

I'm not playing the "scotsman" game, as a scotsman isn't deduced by whether he takes sugar or not. I usually provide the dictionary definition of christian. "Many shall be called, but few shall be chosen". IOW, if you fail the definition, then Christ says "I never knew you". It is also written that MANY shall claim to know him.
I don't see why I should call myself something else anymore. If, I hopefully meet the definition, then why should I not call myself it? Have I failed the definition? Was my logic in error in the posts to Jar? Please show me how.
You're right I said I am a follower of Christ, as if you think of a christian as a witch-burning, YECer, who is ignorant and evil, surely I am wrongly defined if I am not a partaker of those things????? Please show my logical errors. Nobody believes me! I'm the victim, me, me, me. You hate me, hate me, hate me.
