For what it's worth, WT, I've never thought of you as a "stain". You're admission shows character. I admire you for it.

Well, now that the dust is settled...
I think Willow tree went overboard, but because he was clearly provoked. Lam, organized religion doesn't always brainwash people into screeching fundamentalists; it can change lives for the better.
Please don't make sweeping generalizations. While I agree the response was overboard, the initial statement was a little too far as well.

Wanna feel God? Step onto the wrestling mat and you'd be crazy to deny the uplifting spirit.

Next time they need a new moderator here they oughta look at you, Preach. You're very fair minded.

I agree Berberry. I also agree that WT should be congratulated for the apology ( I was mistaken about him I think).

I suspect we've seen the last of des, she has some shame after all.

If she is gone I hope you're right that she left for shame. I'm worried a bit, though, that perhaps someone discovered what she's been up to on her computer. If that someone disapproves of allowing her to expose herself to the dangerous ideas we discuss on this forum, her computer might have been taken away from her.

I still have some doubts about WT. Lately, he's been doing some things that he should have known better. For example: quoting only parts of someone's message in order to misrepresent him. Say that I just wrote something like "I support sex education for children in school," someone like WT would quote me "I support sex... for children." Anyone in his right mind would know that this is unacceptable behavior.
If he wants me to treat him seriously, he needs to stop acting like a rebelious teen and be more mature.

Re: Well, now that the dust is settled...
Thanks for the compliments, berberry and NoseyNed. Your optimistic attitudes are also very helpful in this thread especially, I think.

I shudder at the idea of some oppressive medieval husband that has her and her kid boarded up in their house. There was a guy that did that around here not but 2 years ago, (literally boarded up in the house) and the family was so brainwashed by it they didn't think it was wrong.
Hopefully that's not the case.
