Yourself
Well since everyone is different, and we all need God in a different way, I would expect all that to happen.
Again the mistake is that God is God, and man is man, do not confuse the 2. You cannot judge who God is by judging others, you can only look to yourself. You cannot even determine if God exists by looking at the behavior of others, only yourself.

Re: Yourself
Yes!
It's not how your behavior affects others, but how it affects yourself.
That is when you can see God. You need not look to others, only to yourself, and Jesus.

Re: Yourself
Your on the right track. The proof is your own personal opinion.
That's the best we can do anyway, since anything supernatural can be explained away, either by chance, (which might not even exist) or "placebo effect".
All behaviors, and the reactions that follow.
How do we know?
Read the bible, and then make comparisons to real life, you'll figure it out on your own. "If" God is real, you'll find him.

Re: Yourself
All behaviors you behave affect others, the world around you. It stops doing that when you are dead and behavior ceases.
Isn't that obvious?
You missed the point then.
And another thing....take your eyes off Christ and you are lost.
What if you don't know Christ yet?

Re: Yourself
Actually, no it isn't. Personal opinion is personal opinion. Proof is proof, verfiable independent of the perceptions of any one individual.
You are also correct that everything "supernatural" can be explained away. So, why do you believe in this "supernatural" nonesense?
By my own personal opinion, I cannot explain away things that I see, feel, and happen to me. Not to mention that the bible is 100% correct (especially the new testament).
By what I say, does that prove that God exist? No
By what you say, does it prove that God doesn't exist? No
Excellent! I had no idea it was so simple. I have read the Bible several times. I still see belief in any deity as self deception, so I think it safe to say that I did not find the "god" you refer. So, by your logic we may safely infer that the god in the Bible does not exist.
And you are how old?
And your upbringing?
And you studied the bible where?

Re: Yourself
Well, it is, but I tend to focus more on the NT as people seem to have a hard time understanding the OT.
Plus I am not an expert on the OT, so I do not wish to debate it.
But so far, I have read nothing in the OT to make me not believe in God.
People in this forum are famous for taking things out of context from the OT and using that as a reason to not believe in God. It is not neccesary to know the OT to know God either. It will help you understand things better as you go.
You can't qualify an absolute.
lol, OMG I was wrong, lol

Re: Yourself
This is precisely what I am talking about. You took it out of context on your first reference to it.
You do not need to follow the OT.
Jesus came to fulfill the law.

Surely you have to adjust your claim to 'I believe that the Bible is 100% correct'.
Sure, why not.

Re: Yourself
Another perfect example of someone taking the whole thing (the bible) out of context.
If you read the OT, and understand what the word fulfill means(by knowing the prophecies), you would understand that it is no longer neccesary to eat that stuff. Its not what goes in your stomach, but what comes out of your heart.

Re: Yourself
Isaiah 40:31
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Do fully understand what the term "born again" means?

Re: Yourself
This debate reminds me of 2nd grade.
Taking the OT out of context again, Born again and the verse you quote are from 2 different times, lets keep them separate.
It's been explained to, sorry if you don't get it.
It's pretty freakin basic, if you hope, you get energy, to do his works, or wahtever God wants you to do.
When you stop hoping, it goes away.
Energy does not give you hope.
