Re: Objectivity
Truth tends to be kind of black and white FC. Truth isn't a shade of Phat-like grey.
Only in the black and white world of religious fanaticism.

Re: On 'isms' and redness
In college they seem to present a case against God.
I must have missed that class.
When a professor in college stands in front of a class, and says "prove God exists" you got dogma.
Are you sure that wasn't a class in apologetics at a theological seminary?

Re: Dogma in college
Isn't it plainly clear that in a secular college you will learn about all the reasons why God doesn't exist, ...
No, that isn't plainly clear at all. I cannot think of any class that would teach that God does not exist.
I think you are making this up.

Re: Dogma in college
right, I never went to school.
I haven't asserted that.
It is that way in NYC. They leave you with no choice but not to believe, or at least question it.
Who is the "they" you are referring to? Are you talking about a class you took, or are you referring to back alley talk among students?
If it is a class, then name the class.
By just making assertions, with no checkable details, you come across as making it up.

Re: Dogma in college
We are going back over 20 years now, but it was mostly science classes, and most likely not all.
Then my best guess is that you have misremembered. Most scientists would consider it a part of their professional ethics, that they should not raise religious questions in a science class. They might answer questions from a student, but would normally be clear that they are expressing opinion rather than scientific knowledge.
