It's a society of pious hypocrites.

Over the last few years, we have heard a continual stream of accusations that gay marriage will encourage child molesters.

And now Christians are making excuses for Josh Duggar, their own child molester.

The Bible does not state that the sun orbits the earth--never even hints at the notion.
The Bible isn't a science textbook.

If you want to look at its science, then it is already clearly wrong in Genesis 1. It's best to recognize that it was never intended to be about science.
