An assertion by folk who wrote the various Bible stories is not really very strong evidence of anything Faith, particularly when it is a fact that so much that is said to be fact in the Bible stories is simply false and the product of ignorance.
Not according to hundreds of millions of believers and hundreds of thousands of Bible exegetes who know their business far better than you could ever pretend to. What unbelievable arrogance. Interesting that you don't quote anybody else for any of your interpretations of the Bible either, you just lay out your own self-righteous understanding.
The topic though is to try to define what people think is Christianity. You have one version and this is the place where you can try to present what YOU think is Christianity.
It's the Bible believed completely to be the inspired word of God as He moved its authors down the centuries, and followed as God's guide to living, and taught as such by thousands upon thousands of highly educated and spiritually led men.
You will notice that I have never denied or claimed that your beliefs are not a version of Christianity.
Am I supposed to be grateful or what? I certainly deny that YOUR beliefs are even remotely Christian.
Well ambivaguety is as ever jar's only real defence.
But his objection to the description of 'alive' was based on being unable to "imagine or describe" God in such a state. If he can't "imagine or describe" God's existence either then the same "word salad" objections he is accusing others of here apply equally to him.

The one fact you seem to completely ignore is that I do not dispute that. I have said many, many, many, many, many times here at EvC that my religious belief that there is a GOD is not reasonable, logical, rational, or supported in anyway.
You MIGHT have a point if I ever claimed my belief that GOD exists was correct, factual (beyond the fact that it is my belief), reasonable, rational, logical or supported by evidence.
Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!
