Moose, TB, or Percy one of you straighten this fella out please..... *added by edit* or what if God really hates people who type in caps for extended periods? quote: You mean the way I about to piecemeal yours?
quote: Very insightful.
quote: That should be, "because he doesn't believe in one"
quote: Now, this is simply a non sequitor It does not follow from my atheism that I do not need to provide evidence for my beliefs. You're just irritated that I have evidence, and you don't.
quote: Read the forum and topic names.
quote: That is 'asinine' and you forgot your question mark. If my thinking were asinine someone would have posted a solution, or at least a possibility, by now. Yet you see that no one has.
quote: "anyones" requires an apostrophe, like so, 'anyone's'. Then go away.
quote: Yes, so you very childishly posted five or six times now.
quote: Isn't cursing offensive to God? You believe I have no opinions. LOL.... You misspelled asinine, unless you have coined a word to indicate the number of folds on my butt-cheeks.
quote: hmmm.... it is a debate forum.
quote: Don't you like this one? I do.
quote: LOL.... you may not like what I have to say but it is intelligible (which you misspelled)
quote: Seems like little ole me ought not to be able to do something like that. I mean, if God is more than a fantasy.
quote: Talk to the Admins.
quote: Then refute them. If you cannot, then concede that they are not stupid arguments. That is fair, isn't it?
quote: No. No, I'm not, "BECAUSE I HAVE NOTHING TO CONVINCE OR PROVE TO ANYONE IN HERE" Lol... I am criticised for having an opinion, in the same post in which I am criticised for not having an opinion.
quote: Sound like the plan is working.
quote: Ok.
quote: How is that? By bitching and moaning like an insecure child?
quote: Oh wow... it is?
quote: You'd think that with all that weak thinking you'd be able to come up with a substantial criticism of something I have said.
quote: No belief in God == no beliefs at all. Silly boy.
quote: Isn't cursing offensive to God? And... ummmm... why is it you think you have some say in where I post?
quote: Nope. I don't know how to act like I don't exist.
quote: If only you could see the irony....
quote: No. Not ok.
quote: Crap? Then obviously you have a refutation. Lets have it.
quote: Honestly, I don't think you do.
quote: Oh, I beg to differ... and so in fact does your post.
quote: Meaning I can submit my stupid asinine comments to you, since I need only keep them away from people who care. And you, as you say, don't care.
quote: Ouch.
quote: Try me son. TRY ME SON!!!! Man that is funny.
quote: Reconstruct? You'll notice that very little of your post has changed. I have only added a few comments.
GO AHEAD.
Thanks. I will.
quote: Now you know me? This is certainly the most arrogant and pretentious comment yet.
quote: Have you noticed the responses your post has already generated?
quote: We? Have you noticed the responses you have already generated with your posts?
quote: ???? Pick one. Or jump in elsewhere. I post a lot on this forum.
quote: Well, I am sure afraid of that. ------------------http://www.hells-handmaiden.com [This message has been edited by John, 11-22-2002] [This message has been edited by John, 11-22-2002]

No way is there a God - a big bearded man sitting on a cloud who makes everything alright?

quote: i'm happy to read this... not many atheists can admit it... in any battle of ideas, it isn't enough to merely attack another's

Have to agree, Heston was a damn (whoops!) good Moses.

quote: just kinda bumping this *grin*... john, will you grant that it isn't entirely true that you haven't been answered? now it is true you haven't liked the answers, but they've been answers... someone said somewhere around here that there's a difference between science and faith... what's yet to be shown is how 'faith' differs simply because someone adds the word 'God'... there are people, scientists even, who believe in abiogenesis... they *really* believe it's true... it's not only that they think there's basis for that belief, imo it's also because they *want* it to be true... they have faith it will be proven one day so christians and atheists alike have faith... the object of their faith might be different... as for the geneology thing, my post on this reflects the thinking of biblical scholars for centuries... if it isn't acceptable, it isn't... but it is an answer, and it is a possibly correct answer

quote: That is quite an admission. Hats off to you.
quote: Certainly, unless God is dictating. This is the core of the whole internal consistency argument.
quote: How many is enough? As it is, there are hundreds. Seems like God could have done better than that, or he could have found better stenographers.
quote: I'm sure you've seen a concordance. It is a nifty little book which lets you find verses concerning whatever subject you wish. The whole idea just bleeds out-of-context.
quote: Funny. I get annoyed when christians who have not studied the bible try to defend it.
quote: Of course, if He doesn't exist there is no face in which to spit. Think about it. Do you HATE the wicked witch of the west? ------------------http://www.hells-handmaiden.com
