That's not really a free will issue. What you describe is a case of action under duress, and those are not the circumstances where you are expected to be able to choose freely.

The idea of "free will" is also much discussed outside of religious contexts. There is an extensive literature in philosophy.In philosophical discussions, free will is often considered as equivalent to moral responsibility. However, morally responsible action is not required when under external coercion (or under duress).

I'm not forgetting that. Nevertheless, as I said in Message 42, action under duress is not normally considered relevant to the free will question.
