Jesus often spoke and prayed to God and referred to him as his father.
I know there is scripture that appears to suggest that Jesus is God but there is also scripture to suggest he isn't.
Eg. Why would Jesus pray to himself in the garden of Gethsemane before getting arrested?
"THIS IS MY SON"
Twice in the Gospel we hear God himself say that Jesus is His son.
Once when he gets baptized and once at the transfiguration
He doesn't say that Jesus is God.
17 Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” John 20:17
How can anyone be sure that Jesus is God with such conflicting scripture?
One theory is that this was done by the early church to appeal to the pagans to convert at the time because there was so many of them.
Who knows but the concept of the trinity was created by the Catholic church and even they admit that the trinity is a mystery so trying to explain it or make sense of it is impossible anyway.
How many Gods does Christianity have? It supposed to be monotheist but in many ways it isn't with the trinity
And then you can throw in a 4th deity when you see Catholics worshiping Mary as well.
Just some thoughts
God Bless
