Re: Jesus death
I was told once that the worst thing was to say that satan had raised Larazus - must have been a myth.

Re: What is the immense sacrifice?
But he's still God at the same time, clearly indicating that the game is rigged. Now if he FULLY gave up his power while he was human - that would have meant something but the game was rigged from the outset.

Sure it would - if he was God he could be both states at the same time. If he couldn't manage this, THEN he couldn't be God!
You are generally straight forward Jar but I've never seen an answer from a christian about this aspect of God/Jesus that does not seem like a dodge.

Re: Necessity of the Resurrection...
I agree with Brian - if Jesus really was the son of/or God then it seems like a circle act to me.

Not at all. In fact, I'm perfectly open to some kind of God somewhere or some higher power or existence pre-singularity. I'm not open to Christianity and the bible, though.
I'm just the same, maybe there is a god but it's not the christian one.
BTW - he will get bored of trying to convert you and move onto someone else soon, but I've guess you've seen all of the questions designed to open up some chink in the armour? (I have)

Re: Who knows about Jesus?
Let's see how my answers compare to his
So I am guessing you do not accept Christ as your saviour, or accept him as the son of God.
Nope
What is your reasoning for that?
The bible, it's quite dull the narrative makes little sense, it's blown out of the water by everything we know about science, history and culture.
How difficult it is to accept Jesus these days, with all that Christians have done wrong in this world
I'm not bothered in that sense what they have done but in terms of me, their religion makes no sense at all.
How many times have you walked into a church and said to yourself, this is a bunch of crap?
Lots - everything time since I was 15.
just what is the meaning of the word Jesus?
To me it's the name given to a fictional construct in the bible based upon a man who *may* have existed.

Riverrat is right, I'm entirely wrong.
Actually RiverRat is entirely right and I'm wrong. He has,in fact, being suggesting the same things since I've encountered him
And you know what - of all the christians we have here, while I may disagree with him about the christianity thing, he is the most honest and sincere one here in terms of trying to talk about his faith.
RR is trying to open our eyes to the lord and you know what, if I was in his shoes I'd do the same.
