I would ask: "Why would you choose acceptance of your existence/sacrifice/sovereignty as the deciding factor behind the salvation of your chosen created beings, and then hide from them?"

And then I would presumably go to hell / be annihilated / tortured forever / consumed / etc. by the evil deity.
