I scored 37.

I think that means I'm a card carrying liberal :)

I do have to say that any one reading that may react to the religious nature of some of the questions.

If you don't believe in god you may well score lower.

I think a better scale would have removed the religious statements.

:)

Great minds.....

I agree that some of the questions were 'er, duh!'. Did you think the questions were aimed at Americans? There was some mention of founding fathers and to me, it highlights the reverence they are held in.

This being the case, it would be more easy for non Americans to 'go against the intent' of them.

This questionnaire could be more accurately described as a conservative American scale.

[sinister]I bet Mod hides a lot of things....[/sinister]

Re: Bob Altemeyer
is rare to find (imo) psychological studies using hard statistics.

Nothing could be further from the truth: take a look at 'Behaviour Research and Therapy' more multiple regressions than you can factor.

Re: Bob Altemeyer
Bang on, Percy.

The ghost of the idea that psychology is not science still riles me; I blame psychoanalysis.

Re: Psychology and Statistics
No worries, mate.

When people think of psychology they often think of psychoanalysis; those charlatans Freud and Jung have a lot to answer for.
