The original concept for one-on-one debates included choosing a winner, and I'd like to return to that at some point, but I won't do so for this thread, both because I think there's enough information for people to make up their own minds, and because the debate wasn't able to complete.
If there's any lesson from this debate it's that the value of one's ideas isn't how convincing they are to you, but how convincing they are to others.
