Earth's Distance
Anyone help me here.
If the earth in its orbit were to drift 100 miles further away from the sun what would happen?
If the earth in its orbit were to drift 100 miles closer to the sun what would happen?
During the year the earth's distance to the sun varies by some millions of miles. It's about a couple of million miles closer in January than it is in June.
Obviously, 100 miles here or there would make no difference. We can measure (I think) the difference in energy from the sun now but I'm not sure we could measure the effect of 100 miles one way or the other.

Distances
Note, Rev, that 91 is around the minimum and 95 is around the maximum. Obviously it doesn't make a huge difference.
