Jesus
[warning: might be offensive]
A messenger of Allah to the children of Israel (exclusively), born of a virgin, had followers from the poor and 12 disciples (the Hawariyyun), the 13th being Judas Iscariot who betrayed him and gave him away to Romans. He did not die on the cross but Allah lifted him to heaven, and he will return in end-times as Imam Mahdi, the leader of the faithful, broke the cross, and converted Christians to Islam.
However, Paul, a former Jew, coopted his teachings and preached to non-Israelites, something that Jesus himself did not do. Later, as a result from the dispute of two theologians, Arius & Athanasius, the Consul of Nicaea declared Jesus as God. And so the trinitarian heresy begins.

Re: Jesus
Lets see, that guy asked me who Jesus was, and I wrote what I think and believe. It's okay. TheOne's a Jew, maybe he can share with us what he thinks about Jesus?

You say it as if its a bad thing.
Then I apologize. SOrry, I guess I've been hanging out with those Muslim brothers of mine which have no respect at all for Jews, and I get carried away.
I know about Paul's history also, Muslims thought that he's the one who started distorting Jesus' teachings. And of course, Jesus was not worshipped as God until some theologians declared that he's God in Nicaea. Weren't there still Christians who does not adhere to Trinitarianism?

Andya, I didn't mean any disrespect at all. To me idea of a G-d sending messangers to other nations hundreds of years erlier then to his own people is kindof bizarre. That's why I automatically thought you are one of many atheists here and just joking around.
Okay then, I offer you an olive branch. Surely we can do better than some of our misguided brothers out there.

Re: Hey Andya...
When I said that I believe that Jesus is a Messenger of Allah for the children of Israel (Bani Isra'il) my source is these Qur'anic verses:
4:171 "O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: nor say Of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a Messenger of Allah,
5:72 "They do blaspheme who say: 'Allah is Christ the son of Mary.' But said Christ: 'O Children of Israel! Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.' Whoever joins other gods with Allah- Allah will forbid hi the Garden, and the Fire will be his abode. There will for the wrongdoers be no one to help.
I remembered that Sheikh Ahmed Deedat once pointed out a Biblical verse quoting Jesus saying that he only came for the children of Israel. Lets see if I can recollect that.

Re: Hey Andya...
Muslims more often refer to Muhammad as 'the Messenger of Allah (Rasul Allah)' rather than 'the Prophet (Nabi)'. He was an ordinary man just like every one of us, and he died a natural death at the age of 63 (who said he was poisoned? Sources please). To know Allah, we study the Qur'an. The 'Satanic Verses' episode was only a myth.
'Love your enemies'...if I point a gun to your head would you love me? Allah is a God of Justice. Did not your God of love recently inspired violence against the peoples of Iraq and Afghanistan? Our sin is our own responsibility and there is no 'original sin' in Islam. If one repent and do good deeds to make up for his/her sins, one's sins are forgiven. The Muslim is not somebody accused gulity of carrying the original sin from birth, so don't confuse that part of your theology with mine.
