John WilliamsHave you looked at the photos? The midshaft of the bone differs in both photos as well as the condyles{knuckle end} so just a cursory view of the photos makes it unecessary to go further in the investigation.I am surprised it did not occur to you to do so. Have I missed something?

John WilliamsIf the contention is that the two photos are of the same "thumb bone"
when it is obvious upon visual examination of the pictures that they are not then why would we proceed with further investigation?If I were to present to you photos of a UFO and you were to show me the flaw in the optics of my camera that produced the "UFO" why would you further investigate what has already been satifactorily explained?

Lysimachus Dude You really need to be more observant. The coffin is not leaning up against the railway carriage,however,the ladder is. The base of the coffin at the "giants" feet is flush with the ground and so is perpendicular to that ground. Notice also that the rungs of the ladder get smaller towartds the railcar indicating perspective shrinking.The coffin is doubtless a foreground object giving the appearance{but not the reality} of being tall.Welcome to the wonderful world of photography and the personal deception than can occur without close attention to detail.As for the jawbones there is no known object size available to judge by however such a photo is easily faked if one wished to do so.This could also explain the lack of a reference object but of course is not the only explanation.P.S. You might also notice that the coffin appears to be on a box since the base of the ladder appears to descend below the level of the coffin base.;}This message has been edited by sidelined, 08-15-2004 04:46 PM

Lysimachus Ok but large people are not the claim being followed up. Without a means of determining the distances between the objects in the photo we cannot say what the size is either way.So while it may seem sensational upon examination there is less of the sensational and more of the mundane present.Also I might add that in comparison between the two pictures you immediately get a distinct impression that the second photo is far less distorting of relative size.Also we see that the coffin is raised ABOVE THE GROUND TO BEGIN WITH.
