The answer I've heard for the number of stalls/horses or other worldly goods is usually that the two statements are quite distant to each other. In your example "Solomon’s Stalls (1 Kng 4:26) Solomon had 40,000 stalls. (2 Chr 9:25) Solomon had 4,000 stalls." the likely answer is Solomon had 4000, but being king he told his people to build him another 36000 stalls, both answers are right just at different times. Also all of the contradictions you have used are numbers, which are definately the easiest thing to stuff up in translation. While I'm an atheist I do think some of the contradictions have valid answers, just got to dig further for the harder ones.
