It's funny you target the christian God in this discussion but noone seems to care about the star of David on money.

Given that we've missed the point of the analogy, I'll spell it out a little...
As an athiest, it's ridiculous that I would have had to pay homage to the Christian god in science class, just to receive my education.
This is what YOU wrote Dan. Now this is analogy to optional creation science classes, that is going on in like two states. As an atheist you would just go to evolution science like normal, you wouldn't have to be forced to do anything you didn't want to. So if this introduction of creation science happened when you were a kid it wouldn't affect your schooling at all. Get it? Or do I have to make it SIMPLER for you to understand?

Well the first problem is I can't find where the "biblical archeology" thread is located, secondly I know of no way to derive an exact date for he exodus. So I guess I'll withdraw myself.

Hi,
The thread is Here
As your link stated there are two possible dates that can be derived from the biblical text, whichever one you pick will negate the other one. Hence, at least one of these dates is wrong, and the bible has been PROVEN to be in error.
There may be a way to harmonise the text but it means adding to the text or at least reinterpreting it in some way, which isn't good for a book written by an author who isn't an author of confusion.
Thanks for participating anyway, look after yourself.
Cheers.
Brian.

Wait, If one date is wrong and one is right then how would the bible be in error? Thanks for the "take care of yourself". Some physchopath named Bob emailed me with a threatening Christianity is rubbish subject. Well it wasn't rubbish if you know what I mean.

Offhand, looks to be a good place to close down this "Welcome, Visitors!" topic.
