OK, Let's start with this: Did you either do the Google I suggested, or follow my link to the shoyen collection? If so, what are your thoughts? Sorry, I'll try to avoid irony in future. Although since you mentioned it, "October" is Roman, not post-Roman (Octobris, Octo=eight, +bris, Lat Adj. sfx.). Also, of course, any time system can be extended backwards in time as well as forwards (otherwise there would be no dates before about 300 AD) but I'm sure you realised that as soon as you hit "submit".
