That is exactly why I said you are being redundant to say absolute Reality or absolute Truth.

There's nothing redundant about it. What you call Reality, a "reality" that includes God, is an absolute reality. But a reality that is based on a consensus of perception is an approximate reality, so it's important to make the distinction.

What you call Reality is not real in any real sense. Realistically, the only thing we can ever do is approximate reality.

Ringo,...
Let's stop talking to each other,... OK?

I can't keep telling you the same thing again and again, only to have you return with attempts to cloud the simplest ideas.

I already offered you the opportunity to accept that peoples' concensus or perspectives or personal insights have zero to do with Reality, which is what exists,... whether people exist or not.

"The Problems with Genesis: A Christian Evolutionist's View" is that nitwits still insist on accepting ancient, medieval archaic, pre-modern science interpretations of the Bible.

Once we understand that Truth is Lord for men trapped inside the Almighty Reality that has all power over them, Genesis makes sense.

This is because Empirical Science exposes The Truth wuhich is the image of that ever unfolding Reality that sires Truth in the first place.

Re: dumb stuff...
the nonsense you post here.

That's rich coming from you.

1) How difficult was it for the Jews to recognize that the bible says don't act like the fornicating, women chasing, sexually promiscuous neighboring pagan societies that had to abort the fatherless babies that resulted from such behaviors?

That's not what were talking about. You've admitted that it was impossible for the Jews to recognize your modern scientific interpretations of the Bible. And that means that God tricked them into thinking it meant something else.

2) What kind of trick is played on people when the real story is told to them, but in a way they can grasp at the time?

Because, according to your position, they got it completely wrong to the point that it cost them their place in eternity. That's what makes your god so bad. He tricked an entire culture into damnation.

That seems to be a way for God to demonstrated how arrogant and dumb people are, fixed in their mind and ready to crucify anyone who even tries to correct what they foolishly bought into from some other men.

No, according to you:

quote:
3.I realize that the Bible writers would have had to avoid saying "and that was "the evening of the Hadean Era and the morning of the Archean era," simply because these facts would not be known to the readers until this last century.

The facts had to be obfuscated, according to you. People weren't capable of understand the Truth. Its not their fault that they were tricked into believe the Bible meant something that it really didn't.

Substantiate this claim with tangible evidence.

The trouble with simple ideas is that they're often too simple-minded. As I've been saying, a consensus of understanding is more reliable than your own simplistic ideas.

Any literature should be interpreted in the context that it was intended. The nit-witted approach is to assume that the Bible was written for a 21st-century audience.

There is no reason to think the Bible contains any absolute truth. Even if it did, science doesn't concern itself with absolute truth.
