ICANT, with whom I am not always in agreement, seems to be close to the general topic of the biblical text and the earth's age.

ICANT is usually requested to stop participating in science threads, and so he takes every opportunity to raise scientific issues in other venues. If it were anyone else I wouldn't be concerned that the topic was about to be diverted onto a discussion of ancient asteroid strikes, but this is ICANT, so I'm concerned.
