Sure, but look at the context. DC85 qrote:

Well, tribes in Africa represent all the above-- hunters, gatherers, and hunter/gatherers, as well as nomadic pastorialists, sedentary agriculturalists and numerous combinations of the above. Saying we were 'like the African tribes' doesn't tell us a damn thing. My quip about all animals hunting or gathering was really just frustration.
