Transitional fossils not proof of evolution?

So we have the fossil and geological data and theories to explain it.
We have the biological studies of organisms, cladistics, DNA.If you think the Theory of Evolution doesn't account for the diversity of life over time, the similiarities of DNA, forms and functions, then what scientific theory do you have that accounts for all this diversity of life over time?Why only bacteria for millions of years? Why only life forms found in the oceans for millions of years and then gradually more life forms appearing on land with increasing complexity, etc.?lfen
