The Evolution of Flight.... why are some birds grounded?

I apologize, and promise to be more constructive. However, at the same time, the creationist sarcasm of "the farytale that is evolution," "evolution teaches people that there are no morals," etc. gets a little old after a while and causes my sometimes uninhibited wit to snap out in defense.But hey, have you tackled the problem of why flightless birds have wings?
