My guess is that PE was looking at the message in the preview window, and not as the posted form, and that the message never got posted.

Re: Some comments - What is Dr. Page's work load?
Sonnikke -
SLPx does a lot of posting here at , and quite possibly a lot more at other boards. Personally, I don't understand where he finds the time (presumably, unlike me, he does have a life elsewhere).
This really isn't intended as any sort of admin warning, but I thought I should inject some comments.
You are asking a lot of questions, and quoting rather lengthy questions/information from other sites. I am under the impression that you may be putting a pretty heavy load upon SLPx, to answer all these things.
I really don't have the answer to the (?)problem(?). Perhaps you need to look at some of the other topics here at . Or perhaps you need to look around Talk Origins some (I don't have the link at hand).
Others may also wish to comment on this situation.
As always, I may be wrong.

I know that the genetics etc. talk around here does quickly gets over my head. I suspect the situation is the same for you. And I fear that you are looking for "laymans terms" type information on questions that may defy such possibilities. Plain and simple, the science may be pretty complex - and may be beyond the easy comprehension of the ignorant masses (in which I include myself).}

I think this (and the preceding comments) is the essence of what I was trying to get at, in my references to SLPx's "work load". It seemed to me that Sonnike was asking a lot of questions specificly to SLPx, which struck me as placing an excessive demand on SLPx. I was not thinking that others from the evolution side would step in (a good thing) to share in answering.
I was also concerned about the desire for "laymans terms" type answers, when such may not be a practical possibility.
Admin has also responded to this situation. He has actually gotten into it in far greater depth than anything I was attempting.
Finially, I am not trying to pick on Sonnike. I had long forgotten that I had made comments to him before. Actually, getting some special attention from me (admin mode) may be a compliment. I think, to some degree, I give extra attention to people I like, and ignore the ones I don't like.
Well, another rather wishy-washy response from me. I don't claim to be any sort of great tower of wisdom. I just occasionly take a stab at trying to do something useful, as a moderator.

Another interesting topic getting buried?

I think that the Margulis theories deserve their own topic (but I'm not the one to start it). In this existing topic, it is destined to be deeply buried, never to be seen again.
And now for some general moose observations on long topics:
I am inclined to think that a topic should be closed after a certain number of messages (100???) unless there seems good reason not to. A 300+ message topic, such as this one, seems destined to wander aimlessly, touching on both good and bad discussion.

Re: Crab
I think is proves that the specialized jargon of a highly technical field in incomprehensible to the layman, of which I include myself.
This is NOT aimed at sonnikke, you just happen to have been the last message poster - I'm going to run with my wild guess that this topic has long outlived its usefulness, and am going to close it.
If someone thinks something important has been terminated, you can start a new topic, and link back to this one.
