The trouble is, there are some people out there who sincerely believe that they are the living incarnation of Napoleon, or Genghis Khan, which is why we need to appeal to objective measurement and rationality. Faith by definition requires a suspension of rationality.
How would you go about telling someone who sincerely believed they were Napoleon that they weren't (assuming of course that you don't believe they're Napoleon
)?
