This thread is about whether or not the TOE has emotional benefits or how I am related to my cat. I claim it does have such benefits although my emotional enthusiasm is recent. But I've always accepted the TOE on authority.

One of the problems with the fact that you and your cat are cousins, is that you are also cousins to every other animal. This means that, if you eat meat, you are practising cannibalism. It seems that a person who believes in evolution should really be a vegetarian, or only eat sea slugs, insects or other distantly related second- or third-cousins.

I hate to bring Hitler up again, but is it a coincidence that many people believe him to have been a vegetarian? Or is that too spooky to contemplate? Given that Hitler is the premier role model for all of the biologists I know, it is unsurprising that many evolutionary researchers also only have one testicle.

But seriously folks, is there doubt that Hitler was a vegetarian?
