Interesting article.
I think the writer misunderstands what he calls the "Yin" part of the book. I don't think that Miller is trying to show that the universe as it is provides empirical evidence for God. I think he is saying that if you take the existence of God as a given, and he openly does not attempt to defend that if, then science tells you things about God that are in keeping with Christian theology. This idea is not new; the concept that God was revealed in the Scriptures, in Our Lord Jesus Christ and in the "book of nature" is older than evolution; Miller's aim is to apply that concept to evolution.
