Ned had a suggestion related to this at Message 8.
But Ned sure deserves the title.

Thanks Mike. I made my decision on my recollection of overall contribution, realizing some points are stronger than others, but the things I deem to be important, such as attitude, courtesy to others regardless of personal ideology and effort bode high, imo. To me, this's not a popularity contest. You've earned my vote, Mike, and I could name some others, some ideological counterparts as well as compatriots, who are very close. I've not forgotten there's some things you and me are at odds on, mind you!

Is Ned your vote?
Thanks for the input Jar. If Ned likes we can still do what he suggested, I'm happy to "start" this thread but I think it would be good if the Admins took over as we go on. Meanwhile I'll do the scoreboard untill they arrive.
(Pleas make sure to say " I vote so and so" - so I can be clear that you have voted.

Oh no - not you aswell. I told Lam that there's only one Ned at this board. Those other Ned's don't exist.
PS. Looking at your post number contributions Jar, I think that you deserve a medal, u could have wrote a book.

Yup, but some time, sooner or later, hopefully, you'll see that Mr. Evolve is bogus.

Of all the fantastic posters here at EvC, Mammuthus impresses me the most. His familiarity with the realities of genetics, his ability to cite primary-literature sources for support, and his keen wit make him a formidable debating machine. This despite being extinct for 10,000 years or so.
regards,
Esteban Hambre

Hey I resent that, I survived on Wrangel Island until at least 4,000 years ago...ok, the food sucked and I did not have hair straightener but I was there.
Thanks for the nomination..but I think I fail category 3 pretty miserably. I thought of you and holmes but then realized as holmes implied in his post, in the end, I could end up choosing way to many people...and besides, Dan Carroll paid me off not to nominate you ....he said the check is in the mail but I have been waiting for days..and I tell you, it is getting pretty cold outside.

I'm surprised Dan hasn't been nominated yet. It must be said that he compensates for his scientific shortcomings and literary deficiencies by being extremely tall. Oh, and Eliza Dushku's attorney thinks he's funny as hell.

If they didn't stop my letters from reaching her, I know she could learn to love me.
And those stupid form-letter restraining orders they send back are just getting annoying.

"Good evening. I'm playing the role of Jesus; a man once portrayed on the big screen by Jeffery Hunter. You may remember him as the actor who was replaced by William Shatner on Star Trek. Apparently Mr. Hunter was good enough to die for our sins, but not quite up to the task of seducing green women."

Wizmasters Poster of the year
Mike, I think that everyone nominated so far deserves their votes!
I am voting for Ned, because he has always shown objectivity to me even though we rarely see through the same lens. Ned explains his logic and he never dismisses mine.

Doh...how could anyone have forgotten Loudmouth!
Actually, how is this working Mike...is it one nomination per person or can we just keep nominating over and over?

You get one nomination/vote (same thing), so now, you must choose between Mark24 or Loudmouth. I have included Mark24 on the "Standings so far" list because of your previous message concerning him. But you have now suggested Loudmouth, if you change your mind to Loudmouth, Mark24 will be removed from the list. I will continue to assume Mark24 is your vote unless you inform me otherwise.
I am aware that people of high posting quality should have been voted for by now, and henceforth then automatically nominated - I consider some names should be up there, but:
Automatic nomination system le Wiz has been put in place, via your vote.
For further clarification, read message one.
Explanation: I would consider the whole board as nominations, but I am no way writing all those names down. So your vote is your nomination, if that person has already been nominated via someone else, then your stated nomination is obviously just another vote. But we only have one choice for our personal Poster Of The Year. "Poster" of the year as in; It would be inapropriate to suggest two people, thanks.
Nominating YOUR personal Poster of the year counts as one vote, and is added to the standings. Further clarification for confused people;
You might aswell write, " I choose [name insert] " rather than, " I nominate " - obviously if a person has already been nominated, then infact you are just voting that person as your personal nomination and if you are the first to suggest that person then that person is voted for andimmediate nomination automatically--> will follow.
Example; Rei nominated MTW, MTW had not previously been suggested, and so Rei's nomination automatically counts as one vote, thus her personal nominated poster of [this year] is MTW. If she had said, " I vote MTW " then I would have automatically been nominated. If she says " I nominate " then I would be automatically recieve one vote.
Please feel free to ask any further questions.
The actual Poster of [this year] will be decided by number of most votes/personal nominations.
(Admin - if this system is not working, and/or you are displeased with this system, and want to suggest changes - please inform me).
