In reference to the OP cartoon, I have to say it is very funny in an understated, social commenary sort of way.

The bar setting is not peripheral: it echos all those old jokes about, "A chimp walks into a bar..."
​
And how about that Panda's hand showing just above the bar? Nice touch.

Okay, it isn't ha-ha funny, but it is witty in a dry (neither shaken nor stirred) kind of way.

My wife doesn't think it's funny either. I rest my case.
