Thanks Mark.Your's are really cool too.I've taken a lot of pix of flowers but never with any bugs on them. I think I've been inspired I've got gigs and gigs of pix I've taken. Last week I took over 500 pix. I could post "great" pix all day (if I do say so myself).

I like building Tomb Raider levels in my spare time, though I haven't had the opportunity to continue on much of it lately.

that appears to be a black and yellow garden spider Argiope. it's probably not exceptionally venomous, but i'd not mess with it.

CS - given the size and coloration of ventral region this is almost certainly Argiope aurantia (Lucas, 1833), the Black-and-Yellow Argiope (orb weaver), also called the 'Writer Spider'.
