Re: my 2 favs
Thanks Mark.
Your's are really cool too.
I've taken a lot of pix of flowers but never with any bugs on them. I think I've been inspired
I've got gigs and gigs of pix I've taken. Last week I took over 500 pix. I could post "great" pix all day (if I do say so myself).

I like building Tomb Raider levels in my spare time, though I haven't had the opportunity to continue on much of it lately.

Photobug As Well
And a photo of a bug.
giant solifugid - aka whip scorpion. Size approximately 4" (10 cm) from claw tip to abdomen
Edited by Quetzal, : added explanatory text
Edited by Quetzal, : I still say it just looks like a bunch of dead leaves in thumbnail

Re: Photobug As Well
Nice! Imagine if that thing was 4' instead of 4"...Yikes!
That thing looks mean. Here's one of a spider I saw but I have no clue what kind it is. It was almost as big as my hand. Doesn't it look like its got a face with a big nose on its belly?

Re: Photobug As Well
that appears to be a black and yellow garden spider Argiope. it's probably not exceptionally venomous, but i'd not mess with it.

Re: Photobug As Well
CS - given the size and coloration of ventral region this is almost certainly Argiope aurantia (Lucas, 1833), the Black-and-Yellow Argiope (orb weaver), also called the 'Writer Spider'.

Oh, thanks guys.
Did you see the mean old face with the big nose on its belly?
Pretty cool, huh?
ABE:
Actually, that's prolly not its belly...where all the legs meet together. What's that called? I'm guessing the belly is the underside of the abdomen. Heh, like "belly" is a technical term

Then change your resolution
The image size doesn't make me have to scroll.
800X600 is hardly "oversized"
