But it remained flooded for five months after it stopped.
Care to explain how?
Because as far as I know, when it stops raining, the water would drain away rather fast.
Uh, well, yes, precisely. Are you following the Bible or not? If you're following the Biblical account where the flood water persisted for months after the rain stopped, then why are you arguing that the flood would have gone away when the rain stopped?
Don't people with common sense like yourself usually think more logically than this?

Re: Nonresponse
Who cares.
The only reason they got asked in the first place is because money tells them too.

Re: Nonresponse
By definition, you cannot think outside the box before knowing what's inside the box.
Or put another way:
I cannot think inside the box, therefor I must think outside the box, since I do not know what the box is.

Re: Nonresponse
You're the one claiming there was a flood. You're the one using the Bible as a reference.
Last time rhain, then I really give up.
I am not using the bible as a reference. I am trying to prove that the whole earth can be covered in water, most of it under a significant amount of water, and all life except water dwelling creatures would be wiped out.
Forget the bible for this thread.
*edit*
For the period of time that it is raining.
Actually, if my hypothesis is correct, Noah would have been washed out to sea, and the mountains would have appeared to go under water to him, and he would have been in the part of the earth where it wasn't raining. He saw something and wrote what he saw, not fully knowing what was going on.
But that is all separate from my original point.

Re: Nonresponse
Is it just because I am a Christian that all of you automatically assume that I am refering to the bible?

Re: Nonresponse
Actually, yes. Don't forget about our conversation regarding homosexuality where you tried to used every trick you could make the bible do to satisfy your bigoted view of... me. Now, you're trying to tell us that you actually don't believe that much in the bible, or at least take it literally?

For goodness's sake, please vote Democrat this November!
Why? Bush is a right wing nutcase.

Or still another way
You can not think productively outside the box if you don't know anything about what is inside the box.
Without guidence from a base of knowledge such "thinking" becomes raving, wild eyed gibbering. There is some small chance that some of it might happen to be usesful but no one, the raver included, will be able to tell the junk from the gold.
