JT and Mike as Excellent Examples
Message 3and
Message 4 JT and Mike exchange views with well constructed posts. Mike (and to a degree JT) demonstrate discipline around sticking to a particular topic. In addition, there is a potentially interesting spin off topic in JT's post. This message has been edited by NosyNed, 10-20-2004 02:02 PM

Re: JT and Mike as Excellent Examples
Thank you for your kind comments, Ned. I am surprised and gratified that I have twice in my first two weeks posting here been acknowledged like this.

Name: JT Forum: Is it Science? Thread: Is logical support of theism possible? Post#: 21 JT sets a great example of creationists actually reflecting on their own arguments; not just advancing anything that appears to support their position without discernment. Come to think of it that's an example for all of us. Good show. I've been consistently excited to read JT's posts, so I wish he'd post more. His argumentation is always top-notch, in my book. Very respectful and cool-headed, too. Like I said, an example for all of us. I don't predict that he will stay a creationist for long. This message has been edited by crashfrog, 10-26-2004 01:34 AM

Bill Birkeland on Polystrat Trees
Name: Bill Birkeland Forum: Geology and the Great Flood Thread: Soracilla defends the Flood? Post #: 35 Just another typical Bill Birkeland message. He has also posted other messages upthread. We pretty much need a special "Posts of the Month" topic, titled "Bill Birkeland has posted again". Moose Added by edit:
Just another typical Bill Birkeland message.
OK - Too much of an understatement. Message 35 seems to be exceptionally powerful, even on the BB scale. This message has been edited by minnemooseus, 10-26-2004 11:58 PM

Bill Again
I've been a bit lazy in not catching each of Bill's posts as POTM material. They all are! His latest will have to stand in:

Name: Quetzal Forum: Human Origins Thread: Homo floresiensis Post #: 39 Q-man establishes the evolutionary importance of, as well as answering creationist concerns about, the recent fossil find: quote: If H. floresiensis does finally get classed as human, we'll have THREE different human species living at the same time (if not at the same location): floresiensis, neanderthalensis, and sapiens. I can't imagine anything neater than that. Doesn't it thrill you to know we're (or at least weren't) not alone?

Seconded. Partially because I feel guilty in having him explain. It was a good post - detailed, and highly knowledgable. It was a good refutation. (Forgive my foolery in that thread Quetzal - but it has estabished a good post - i'm here to produce the best in you , I didn't target Quetzal though - that would just be sick in the head, I love the lil baba - maybe he would make a good poster of the year if he sticks around long enough ). Thanks MrH and MTW
Wow. Only back a week and a POM. I appreciate both the nom and the second. MTW: Many thanks for the additional "apology", which wasn't necessary. I like debating you because you're soooo close to becoming rational that I simply can't resist the attempt to push you over the edge into the Dark Side.

jackal5096 on Dating Snails and Seals
First posting from this member (although s/he did register in January of 2004). Name: jackal5096 Forum: Dates and Dating Thread: Carbon Dating DOESN'T work beyond 4500 years Post #: 102 Responding to a 1 1/2 year old message 1, but still a very nicely done message on why you can get old carbon14 dates from living (or near living) creatures.
