Re: Everything and more
Well OK then, just because it's nearly X-mas. (Yes, I said "X-mas", got a problem with that, anyone?)

Not to worry Holmes, mine is a shape shifter. Can yours do your initial?

Nah... mine's a cheap knockoff. Serves me right for trusting anything for sale at the Waterlooplein.

Re: Everything and more
Thank you, holmes!
I'll add your list to mine. Don't worry about the duplicate gift; I re-gift all the smilies I receive anyway.
I don't know why I find the little buggers so charming, but I do...maybe it's all those long-gone years of posting on text-only bulletin boards with a 386-SX and a 2400 baud modem.
I hear rumors that Abramoff is close to cutting a deal with the fed prosecutors, so there could a LOT of hammering in 2006. It looks like that guy bought every Republican that was for sale.
Merry Mithramas!

Take another good listen at that song...
I can only think of one wish for now:
A very long and productive life for Diana Krall and enough shelf space for me to stack all of her albums. (Her "Chestnuts" are a must, these days.)

duka duka duka
i have about 300 books on my amazon.com wishlist...
i also have margaritaville playing on my winamp.
generally world peace and the forgiveness that people seem to want to ignore.
the world would be so much better if people stopped imagining their own perfection and comparing others to it. we all make mistakes and we all have to live with them. maybe if we had a book that showed us how to not make mistakes and certain mistakes to specifically avoid and people in their infinite stupidity didn't make it out to be more.
maybe if more people got high and listened to jimmy buffet.
note: i'm not high, nor do i pursue this goal.

Purple Smilies!
Never admit to re-gifting!
1. More purple smilies
2. Healthy felines
3. Spare time for the upcoming grandbaby (Due May 7th)
4. Health and inner peace to all
May all your gifts add to your face value, IOW, put a smile on your face.
Present

There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it. -Edith Wharton

I meant well
purpledawn, like the kiss of peace, hugs, and in-the-flesh smiles, I always pass those little smilies along.
Oft done, ne'er so poorly expressed...
I got smilies from holmes and Parasomnium! I couldn't give that away if I tried (and I wouldn't). Giving folks what they want--instead of what you want to give them--is about as gracious as gift-giving gets.
BTW, I'll add healthy felines to my wish list, too. We have three--a nearly 19 year old chocolate point Siamese empress, Noel Persephone (a Christmas gift to my wife on our first Christmas together), and two 8 month old shelter-rescued sister princesses, part Brit shorthair, both black, one with six toes on her front paws: Sibyl (six toed and mysterious) and Spooky (shy and witchy).
Their black coats have a rich sable undertone that is just gorgeous. When all three are happy, the house fills with Purr Thunder.
