I think Schraf makes a great point here, not only about the excitement skeptics feel when claims are put to
genuine test, but about how accusations of rigidity are so often misapplied to skeptics when it's usually the other guys who are dogmatic and rigid, and simply can't countenance the idea that the evidence might be pointing away from their position
because their position is wrong.
I can't think of any mindset more rigid than "I'm right no matter what the evidence says."
