I just lost a post, and had been thinking about a firefox plugin that could save data temporarily. I found one, it's not ideal, because it requires a little bit of intervention on behalf of the poster. That said, it is a useful little thingy. Can be found here. My last firefox plugin for an evc search went down like a lead balloon, but perhaps a couple of people will gain some EvC utility out of this one.

I use Safari on a Mac, but that would be very useful. I've had a fair share of my posts lost because of the browser tilting.

Heh. I have a habit of hitting "All Topics" instead of "Submit". I've lost a couple of posts when I didn't notice that the wrong page came up.

Lead balloon
Hey Mod,
I got linked here from Elmer's Genetic Determinism thread...
...went down like a lead balloon,
Coincidentally, I was watching Mythbusters last night where they investigated this... Check it out:
Its a video of them getting a lead balloon to fly

Re- Losing Posts
Hi Mod,
I had the problem of losing a couple of posts when I first started.
I now copy all my posts when I type them into my word processor and spell check them. I then copy and paste back to the reply box. I keep a copy in my wordprocessor until I am satisfied with my post.
Haven't lost one since.
I would love to be able to create in my wordprocessor but when I do and copy and paste to the reply box it scatters everything all over the page.
Have fun,

"John 5:39 (KJS) Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."

is that why your posts always screw up the "Re:" into "Re-" resulting in an extra "re" in the title?

No that is just laziness and not even looking at what is on that line. It does not get copied.
Have fun,
Edited by ICANT, : correct quote

Re: Losing Posts
very strange. what's doing it then? using a strange browser, or different language/character set or something? it shouldn't do that normally.
