I've just got to the bit with the monks. I'm trying so hard not to read your spoilers!
Btw: I've turned the difficulty right down as I found the fights were killers, did you find this?

Well I got plenty irratified by them an' no mistake. But I meant in general what with having to layer buffs and have spell triggers and contingencies set up for each fight.
I hated fighting dragons! But it's great when you finally kill them.
I got a real kick from killing Demogorgon, too.

ToEE and NN pale like a cave slug next to Baldur's Gate 1, 2 and Throne of Baal.
It's pretty old school and unforgiving (npc can permanently die for example) and has loads of reading that needs to be done but I would so much rather play BG than the other D&D games wich I found lacking in character and charm.

Torment is as good as BG2 but in a different way.
It's very much more philosophical game (as you might expect in Sigil) and you are in it more for the story and the relationships that you and you party have.
Baldur's Gate trilogy is the Star Wars of RPGs and Torment is the Bladerunner.

That's true, it does not have the length (fnar, fnar) but it has the girth (fnar, fnar).
I found Torment a more intense and personal experience than BG (and Imeon was not in Planescape).

I'm trying to balance a Counselling diploma, MSc dissertation and above all playing Metroid Prime Trilogy with a new round of BG so totally feel your pain.
I'm going to go fighter aiming for kensi then dual to wizard for ToB: what about you?

Yeah, I turned down the difficulty when I get to ToB, the fights are too complex for my tiny mind and buffing get tedious for every fight.

Yup.
Great game, really enjoyed it. I particularly like the mechanic where you did not die till you had a TPK.
I've played Star Wars SAGA edition and you can get the KOTOR campaign setting which is a real blast to play, too.
What was the name of that psycho droid who kept calling people meatbags?

That's him!
I always played with him and Canderus (spell?). I may play it again just to repair HK-47 up to see what that gets me.
So that's 3 games I want to go back and play: dare I mention Deus Ex?

Lol, why do you think I'm called Larni?
One of my first Vampire: The Masquerade characters and she was a hot red head Malkavian; so she was bat shit mad, too.

Re: (Granny Magda's Ithika)
Seconded.
I met one of my girl friends by playing D&D.
I was her Dungeon Master (fnar, fnar).
