What would the UK appreciate hearing from US comics, or for what reason would they come see US comics?
I don't think you need to be too self-deprecating. US comics are not a novelty over here. There's a few US comics who live and work here more or less permanently and are well-known on TV. Taking the piss out of both our countries, and pointing out the differences, can work well if it's done in a balanced sort of way.
I think British people love to know how other countries, particularly the USA, view our country and our people. So any kind of observational material on Britain from an American perspective would be good.
And religion is always fair game!
