I tried but I don't like the choices so I stopped.
I didn't stop. But I agree that the choices are poor.Fundamentalism - the anti-American, anti-Christian branch of American Christianity

I'm a Solid Liberal.
I found most of the choices pretty easy.

Finding the choices pretty easy no doubt shows the test itself is "solid liberal" like you. I had a lot of trouble with the choices because they don't have a clue about how the right thinks and just impose their bias on us.

I had a lot of trouble with the choices because they don't have a clue about how the right thinks and just impose their bias on us. Consider this very carefully Faith, it may tell you something about how confirmation bias works. These posters said they found the choices difficult RAZD - liberalTangle - liberal 14171dm - left Nwr - ? Posters that haven't commentedCat's Eyes - outsider Jar - ? Theodoric - liberal Posters that found it easyRingo - liberal You conclude that because *you* found it a difficult choice and one liberal found it easy that it's biased towards liberals. But at least 4 liberals found it hard. You formed your conclusion based on only one liberal view, whilst the balanced view from what you've just read is that we mostly found it hard to choose. Why did you conclude what you did from these very simple facts.Je suis Charlie. Je suis Ahmed. Je suis Juif. Je suis Parisien. Almost ever question offered no answer I liked and forced me to pick one that "I could live with".

I am sure that anyone who has no problem choosing is a liberal. Nothing you said implies otherwise.
Someone who has a problem choosing doesn't have to be a conservative, but might have some conservative opinions or borderline conservative opinions. You didn't make a case against what I said.

You didn't make a case against what I said. I made a prima facie case. As pure a demonstration of motivated bias as can be made. It's right there for all to see. Except you. And you're still doing it.Je suis Charlie. Je suis Ahmed. Je suis Juif. Je suis Parisien. It's been a bit since I took the test, but I recall quite a few questions where I fall about half way between the choices offered. I think not making the conservative choice pushes me to be appraised more liberal than I am.
To me, a middle ground third choice possibility was often needed. One question I had a little trouble with was whether, "Business corporations make too much profit." I personally don't even believe that corporations should be taxed, so I don't think I'm the stereotypical leftie that you wish me to be.

The quiz highlights the problem with some of the thinking we have in politics.
Many if not most of the answers are not as black and white as the quiz would suggest. We have many, many more choices.

In US politics it comes down to a binary choice. It's also worth noting that most of us recognise ourselves in the outcome. Even Faith. It's hard to understand the complaint that she comes out as a republican. Je suis Charlie. Je suis Ahmed. Je suis Juif. Je suis Parisien. but a few things about the site's description of a solid liberal miss the mark.
I'm neither "affluent" nor "highly educated." I can't be counted as an "unflagging" supporter of Obama. Far from it. From drone warfare to his failure to push for the prosecution of fraud that occurred in the finance industry - among many other things - he did too much that is antithetical to my beliefs. Finally, I am NOT very optimistic about the future of this country. In reality, the opposite is true. I believe you've seen the "quiz" linked below. I think it captures the range of political belief more accurately than a simple left/right dichotomy. The Political Compass
