This question/topic is directed towards atheists, but anyone can answer.
What spawns it, is based on my belief that we were all created to worship God, and that given Jesus's death and the deposit of the Holy Spirit, we all know God, regardless of our religion. So we all know God in our hearts/spirits, it is the world, and religion that taints us.
An atheist will go around his whole life denouncing God or claim God does not exist, but I feel that when it all comes down to it, and you are on your death bed, and you are taking your last breath, I think that will change at that moment for you.
Take some time and try to imagine what it will be like.
My question is,,, and I ask you to refrain from knee jerk responses, and preprogrammed by college answers,,,
Will you at that moment look to God, and maybe ask Him something?
You know, the one that doesn't exist?
*disclaimer: I do not blame atheists for not believing in God*

Inconsistent
Needs a consistent subject.
The title doesn't represent anything that is in the OP.
The first paragraph concerns God's existence.
The second isn't even a complete sentence, and the third has your question which deals with, I assume, one's dying breath.
I'm not inclined to promote a topic speculating on one's dying thoughts.
If you wish to rework the OP into something consistent, then let me know and I will review it again.

Re: Inconsistent
Wow, you are picky. I couldn't have made it any simpler.
It's a simple question. I included those other thoughts, so that people could see where I am coming from, they are not for debate.
I can complete the sentence for you.
The title remains, it has everything to do with someone who claims that God doesn't exist, yet will yell Oh my God when it comes down to it. Sorry you didn't get it.

Re: Inconsistent
The purpose of thread proposal feedback is to give threads their best chance to be focused and productive.
I can see you edited paragraph 2 to be a complete sentence, but when you say, "you are on your last breath, and you realize that your body is no longer going to be yours," is that just another way of saying that you realize you're about to die? Or does the part about losing ownership of your body carry with it some implication that I'm missing? If the former, then that's an obscure way of saying it. I don't think many atheists think of dying in such terms.
The very last sentence of the post is missing the word "to".
Anyway, I agree with AdminPD - you've got two completely separate topics:
  1. Existence of God.
  2. Do atheists reconsider their rejection of God when facing death.
Pick one. Once you've done that, change your OP to focus on just that topic, and change the title to clearly indicate the topic.

Deathbed Conversions and Proposed Topic
My 2 cents is that nobody really knows how they will respond when they are about to die. I have read that deathbed conversions are rare....what a person believes most of their life is usually how they end up believing.
Just go ahead and rewrite the OP and we will go from there.

It's one question, very simple.
But I will rewrite it.

Re: Inconsistent
That's a good improvement, I'll let AdminPD decide whether to promote.
If you care to make further improvements, here are a couple minor comments. When you said, "it is based on my belief that we were all created to worship God," does this mean that you believe that man was created for the purpose of worshipping God? If not, and since that's a rather obvious interpretation, you might want to clarify.
Also, did you really mean to claim that atheists denounce a being they don't even think exists? If that's what you really meant to say then that's fine, but I don't think it would make sense to many people, evangelical or not. I would think it would be belief in God that would be the recipient of atheistic denunciations, not God himself.
