Unless you click the link tommorow, then click the "lo-fi" version. (Soundclick.com takes a day to clear the song on "hi-fi")
You shouldn't have to sign up for an account or anything. No effects, or others helping me play it. I used Audacity to do this with the help of Ben's Posts. Thanks.

Farva says...
OK, I realized that I have headphones with me that I use for my MP3 player (I listen to a Japanese CD when biking to work, to try and work on my listening skills). So, I couldn't wait...
Nice, cool, relaxed song. Here's some comments:
1. Nice mixing job by the way.
2. I found the sound of the track (at least on first listen) to be missing something. I think it's a lack of bass. Now I figure you don't own a bass and/or don't know how to play bass, and that's fine. BUT, if you have any kind of equalizer on your amp, I would really suggest that you crank up the bass sounds a bit and crank down the treble side a bit. Not necessarily on the lead guitar track, but definitely on the rhythm guitar part.
3. Just wondering, why do you choose to play these kinds of songs? Just wondering... even if you're answer is just "that's what I like" or "that's just what comes out", that's fine. But dig a little deeper if possible.
Personally, I generally create songs for two reasons:
1. When I feel a certain way, I"ll play whatever until I find something that makes me feel better.
2. I try and create something that makes me feel a certain way. That way, when I want to feel that way, I can just play that song.
Later!
Ben

Well, when I got my guitar, I couldnt play anything, and I sounded really bad, My instructor moved to Georgia, so I was out of luck. I stopped playing as much, and almost dropped the instrument. But during a vacation at my Uncle's house he gave me a DVD of Stevie Ray Vaughn, I had listened and watched Hendrix before without picking up anything useful, because of his wierd tuning. So Stevie gave me my start at trying to play blues. I just started playing more and more, and loving the sound of the vibrato, and picked up a bluesy style from the new influence.
So when I play, I'm just trying my hardest to make it sound good, and new. But it doesn't come out as the blues that I learned how to play from..
Now I just pick up my guitar and whatever I play I'll make it into a song over a few weeks, it usually takes me a while to accidently find things that it together and then I make the song. Then after a long time I put lead to it, after playing the songs with friends. So there is a process, but it's all about how much I play.
It's easy for me to find time to play, in the summer. But during the school year, sports and homework take over usually. I find time though.
Heres the link to the site with the new song on it. I love Audacity!

One more reason why I play these types of songs, is that I hate metal, so I don't play it at all, no chugging or anything, whereas my friends all constantly play Ozzy, I never even learned the staple: "Crazy Train"

I think it's time for you to take a look at a couple other guitar players. Can you listen to some of Charley Byrd's accoustic work and also Joao Gilberto and Luis Bonfa. In the blues idiom, check out some of the originals like Will Batts, Carl Martin, Bukka White, Blind Blake, Charley Patton and Albinia Jones.

Wow, never heard of these guys, but I've been trying to get my hands on some Robert Johnson, and Bo Diddley.
A huge debate going on, niether side with much evidence about who wrote "Mannish Boy" by Bo Diddley/"I'm a Man" by Muddy Waters... They are pretty much identical songs, the cliche blues beat, DA Na Na NA, "When I was a young boy" Da Na Na NA about the age of 5... C D C A. Many different ways of playing it, also featured in a rap song by the artist Nas, with his blues singer father. I tend to side with Bo Diddley, just cause I think he's cooler, but my friends seem to think its Waters' song.
Anyone know anything about this?
Both songs are about the southern way of calling adult African Americans "BOY" all the time, instead of "MAN" or even "SIR", these guys didn't like being treated like "boys", by people who didn't respect them, who may have been less of "MEN" than they were.

Are the first above mentioned guitarists classical in style?
Thanks for the tips! You play guitar?
PS: My biology teacher taught me a lot of stuff before he retired this year, and he taught me how to play slide, fixed my acoustic, and gave me a slide. He taught me "Rocky Racoon" by The Beatles, and numerous blues slide licks. This teacher, was not only an awesome person, but he was obbsessed with Hot Tuna's "Jorma", and especially "Robert Johnson", he told me all kinds of stories about each song he played, it was really cool.
PSS: Jorma was in Jefferson Airplane, then made a blues group with the bassist of J.A. "Jack Cassidy", and a mandolin player, and a drummer. They still play today, I went to a concert nearby here in New York, HOT TUNA. Great guitarist. Also, Jack Cassidy was known to be Jimi Hendrix's favorite bassist to play with for some reason, probably because he was, and still is so good. Wow the avatar threw me off, didn't know I was responding to jar.

If you want to learn how slide should be done try Ry Cooder.
Another favorite is Ali Farka Toure.
Look here for some fun

Your music touches me. You may have taken inspiration from Stevie Ray and Jimi, but you've turned it into something decidedly Charlie. I second the musical recommendations that Jar made. Keep reaching.
Yes, it is an EQ screenshot. In fact it is a bug shot. My char was a wood elf druid and we didn't have the option of wearing plate armor. You will notice that my dead body is wearing plate. I had to get a picture.
The significance is that I'm currently packing up my home of 16 years and moving. The dead body is how I am feeling right now.

Interesting, funny thing is I can relate. I have a level 60 shaman on World of Warcraft, but I haven't been able to play in like 2 weeks, because the account expired, and I thought I would give "gaming" a rest... I was really addicted to that game for some reason. Maybe you know the same feeling with Everquest. Well, I kicked it, became a bad habit and a hinderence to my path.

Sorry to hear that, that's as long as I've been alive lol.
