Evolution states that the origins of life are a result of chance. Human beings have evolved from monkeys who in turn evolved from a single cell out of the sea.
As a child being taught this what would my purpose be for leaving a legacy? Why would I not want to just live for myself and get what I can with the time that I have before I die?
