Do you know what Jesus looked like in order to know that there is an image of him? No, of course you don't, therefore nothing is proven. It might be Mohammed, thus "proving" The Koran!
Creationists have a very, very different standard of proof when they apply it to creation, the bible, & evolution.
Good grief.
Also, does God have cataracts?
Mark
This IS the problem with evolutionists/atheists.
SHOW them evidence of a creator AND they reject it !
Since NONE of you believe in ANY type of creator it is left up to the THEIST to define the entity WITHIN the nebula.
Jesus FITS the bill

Wise, ACCORDING TO THE TEXT I was reading THERE WERE LITERALLY THOUSANDS OF WITNESSES! I'm talking MASSIVE ARMIES! And they all saw these OTHER GODS!
I don't get it!
I see.
And was there *4 accounts by *4 different authors?
quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you referring to when the Muslims took the Holy lands or when the Christians went to get them back?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am referring to times at which a scientist like Galileo was threatened by the church with execution for the heretical belief that the Earth revolved around the sun and not t'other way round.
This does not seem nourishing to science.
Remember if it wasn't for SCIENCE DEFYING THE CHURCH you would still believe the Sun moves around the Earth! DO YOU BELIEVE IT??
Nope.
If it wasn't for the Church you would still be believing in the "sun god"

Re: Big Joke
Does anyone else get the feeling that Wise is actually an evolutionist who is playing a practical joke? The preposterous claims and complete rejection of facts suggests someone is having a little fun with us. Either that or we are dealing with a complete crackpot.
Ok, whoever you are, its time to fess up. You got us. Good one.
Rejection of facts?????
My dear, I ENDEAVOR to be ACCURATE as you HAVE SEEN.

No, I believe in Odin. You'll have to prove it's not Odin before you can prove it's Jesus. After all I have some very old and very rare documents talking about Odin, and if they're rare and old, they must be true, right? You said that was "Archeology 101", as I recall.

I have come up with TWO ACCOUNTS of this so far! There's one account in the Iliad. Then there's another one in another ancient text called THE ANEID!!!
If I find two more accounts does that mean it's true then???

Oh that's a relief, I'd rather believe in THE God.
And you know, you haven't really accounted for the church's wanting to kill Galileo for believing the Earth revolved around the Sun.
If the church wanted to KILL a scientist who was doing SCIENCE, Science which, to this day has HELD UP, then how is that nurturing science? Please answer because I JUST DON'T KNOW ANYMORE!!!

actually, it is widely disputed weather Homer wrote the Odessey. The writting stiles are different.
Some books of the bible are disputed by christians themselves as to authorship, so I think the Odessey is fair game.
Throw in Heroditus, who mentions troy in a few parts, and you got yourself a quartet

If I find two more accounts does that mean it's true then???
Find *4 or more...AND make SURE that they occure ALL at once !
Better yet...IF there is a resurrection with witnesses, show THAT to!

Actually the Church did Galileo a BIG favor.
IF they did NOT threaten him he would NOT have written a book in 1632 that was in direct contradiction to the 1616 edict !
So INDIRECTLY, the CHURCH ACTUALLY PROMOTED SCIENCE !

Do you ACTUALLY BELIEVE in Odin ?
Don't you? You showed me the picture of him, after all.
Why would what you or I believe have anything to do with what is? We're trying to talk about which entities actually exist. Which ones we believe exist or not is irrelevant. Evidence is the only objective measure of existence.
