Re: hmmm image advice?
To post a picture it has to be hosted somewhere. It needs to be someplace on the web that is acceptable. In some cases you can provide a link to the image just as you would your NPR link. They will show up as a link with a label. Or if you substitute img for url between the it will appear inline. But plain old cut and paste won't cut it. Aslan is not a Tame Lion

Hi ABB, read the link at the bottom of my signature quote box. Some is slightly out of date due to the software crossover but the issue with images should be fine. AdminAsgara Queen of the Universe

Re: howd ya do that?
It's very simple, ABB. Go to photobucket.com. Set up a free account and upload pictures from your hard disc (or pictures you've copied from other websites, no doubt legally). Once you get an account set up, there's an easy-to-use tool for uploading pictures. You'll note that three commands are provided by photobucket at the bottom of each of your images: URL, TAG and IMG. Copy the IMG command and paste it into your message and there you are. Just add whatever text you want and you're done. Look at message 9 just upthread. Rand has pasted some pictures into his message, and you can see the IMG commands he used to do it by clicking the 'Peek' button that can be found at the bottom of every message, right next to 'Reply'. Remember, Rand didn't have to construct the command himself, it was provided for him by photobucket.

thanks
Thanks Rand, asgara, and berberry. Between these hints and the board info on html code I can pick away at this. I'm one of those people who have had a computer for a few years and still didn't read the manual. I am still thrilled that I can cut and paste and don't have to transcribe 50 characters for a url. Bigger baby steps, baby!
