Thought some of you might find
this interesting. They say these might be popular mother's day gifts, but I'm not so sure. It seems to me more likely that they might catch on as gifts for mother's who've given birth to baby boys.
I wonder why this was so difficult. Over the past decade breeders have greatly expanded the range of colors available in other flowers - day lillies are a good example. I also wonder if this new technique might be transferred to dogwoods. A blue dogwood would be a lovely sight in the spring, I think.
