I've checked Prentice-hall's on-line Catalog - Maybe the book you are talking about is: The World's History, Combined by Howard Spodek, Temple University Is that the one? It contains sections about the spread of religion but since it had a timeframe of millions of years - I find it very unlikely that it suggests that the exodus happened. I think Chris is refering to this: PHSchool.com Retirement—Prentice Hall—Savvas Learning Company if so I very much doubt that it claims that the exodus happened - look at the section headings. It may discuss the exodus within the context of what christians believe but it does the same for all the other "major religions".

No - that seems to follow the normal standard of general educational history books when dealing with religions - "believed" & "according" to.
