Not really - not when we have statements from people who are signficant in the ID movement who say much the same thing.
If the ID movement was publically willing to disavow Robertson's statement then it would be far less damaging than other aspects of the Dover case.
To my mind, the biggest hit was the revelation that the ID textbook
Of Pandas and People is a rewritten creationist textbook - where the rewrite was so superficial that the defintion of "Intelligent Design" is the same as the definition of "Creationism" in earlier drafts.
