Well, the link is to a subscription service.
I don't doubt that there is mistrust, but it is based on ignorance and not understanding the processes. And to take medical advice from a Chiropractor is hardly a recommendation.
Jar, you mistrust everything!
Here you are bringing up articles about folk mistrusting flu shots and you accuse me of mistrust. LOL

Re: Flu is a really bad example to use.
This link doesn't really 'explain the issue of mistrust'. It gives a particular example of one old man who doesn't trust them because he had an adverse reaction to a flu shot 30 years ago. It also gives a good reason why many african americans might be suspicious of the healthcare profession and government backed healthcare initiatives. Other than noting an occassional symptom of inflammation and even more rarely fevers, both of which are indicative of the immune system doing what it is supposed to, the article says nothing to suggest that vaccines are anything other than efficient. The fact that people are poorly informed is hardly a good argument for any lack of effectiveness of the vaccines themselves and certainly not indicative of any requirement for the more complex vaccination shots you were positing.

I have no opinion on genetic mutation because I know very little about the language of DNA.
All I think I know is that every 3 base pairs represent an instruction, or amina acid or something like that. I really don't know what I am talking about. O well.
